Aren't Sundays great? Not only is it a day to spend time at church getting some spiritual fuel for the upcoming week, but it's a day that many of us are able to spend some real quality time with family.
Our lives are so busy these days. In the past (and I'm probably giving away my age here) businesses and stores were closed on Sundays, church was an absolute, not an option, and dinner at grandmas was common. At least it was for my family. I miss those days....sort of. I mean technology is such that we don't have to wait until Sunday to hear great messages from some awesome ministers on TV or online, or be encouraged by some great inspiring Christ centered music on a multitude of radio stations. Of course, none of those things compare to making time to read and study our Bible. The Word is just so personal, so real and SO very encouraging.

If you need hope, spend some time in your Bible daily. Personally I read mine every morning, write in prayer journal and listen to Christian music while I'm getting ready for my day. I'm addicted to it -- have to have it -- and don't want to start a day without it. It's a passion that results in purpose and provision for the day.
The coolest thing about the Word is that no matter what's going on, if we can focus on what the Lord's trying to say to us for that day, somehow He always provides us an opportunity to use it during the course of the day. Maybe it's for us, maybe for someone else.
As a mom I always taught my kids to read the chapter in Proverbs according to the day of the month. (i.e. if it's the 1st, read Proverbs 1 and so on), as well as at least one chapter in another book. If you don't know where to start, my suggestion is "read the red" (Jesus himself).
So if you want answers to life's issues, guidance on decisions and wisdom to make right choices and to follow God's plan for your life......don't wait. If you want the best chance to have a great day and start your week out with the best possible opportunity of being an overcomer, then I challenge you to just make a commitment to read and absorb some Word. Start now....don't wait until you "feel" like it. Something will always come up. But I promise, if you will make it a habit, it will become an addiction -- one that you will NOT regret!
"Trust Me," Jesus said. And if you will spend time in His Word, you'll see that you can. Guaranteed.
Love ya'll
