Do you ever wonder if God actually sees what’s going on in your life or hears you? Don’t feel bad – you’re not alone.
I don’t know any Christian (or anyone for that matter) who hasn’t asked themselves, “God, are you listening?” at one time or another -- although some of us don’t like to admit it. Everyone has problems. There are so many things that can come along to try and steal our joy – IF WE LET IT. Sometimes it seems like too much and we wonder if God is really there. Well let me tell you that He IS there, and He is in control of everything, whether it seems that way in the natural or not. Our responsibility is to continue to live our lives as Jesus did, love Him and each other, and look to Him first in everything. “How do I do that?” you might ask. “My health is bad, by job is worse and I’m broke all the time.” I don’t know why things happen the way they do. But there is ONE THING I am sure of: I know that HE knows.

Here’s what to do: First, if you have not already done so, accept Jesus Christ as Lord of your life – put Him and His Word first. If you do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but have been far from Him for a while, get a Bible in a modern version that you can understand and start reading it. Find a local church and GO to it. If you don't click with the fist one you go to...try another. There area lot of churches out there with different styles and programs -- there IS one where you will fit in!
Go to the Bible studies at church and ASK questions. Don’t be afraid you’ll sound silly or that people will think you’re being ignorant for asking about something you don’t understand. If it’s a real Bible believing church, they won’t. And after all, it’s your eternitywe’re talking about! Then, start walking in faith. Do what the Bible says to do, and DON’T DO what it says not to do. It’s just not that hard, as some would have you believe. Getting to know Jesus or coming back into a relationship with Him will be the best choice you will ever make for yourself and for your family.
There’s no reason to wait, so don’t. Time is short. Take the time right now to pray (or re-pray) this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and have been far from you. But I believe that you died upon the cross for me, and that you shed your precious blood for the forgiveness of my sin. And I believe that on the third day you rose again, and right now you’re in heaven praying for me, preparing a place for me. I accept you now as my Savior, my Lord, my God, my friend. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and set me free from my sin. And, because you are my Savior, Jesus, I "shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Thank you Jesus!”
Now if you prayed this prayer and meant what you prayed, it's important that you share your excitement -- so GO TELL someone or call them! If you don’t have anyone to tell, call ME! I’ll pray with you and for you and help guide and direct you in your newly found freedom in Christ.
