Revelation 13:18 describes what we know as the mark of the beast – Satan’s number.  666. We've heard so many messages, prophecies -- even seen movies about these numbers.  BUT, let me tell you about the numbers 6, 6, & 6 – and how recognizing and accepting the instruction in THESE numbers and applying them to your life, will help mark you as a victorious Christian.

Well, I'm a MOM, so I'm giving you this from a MOM'S perspective, although there's a lot here for Dad's and probably a lot Dad's could add.    And although this is mostly directed toward 'tweens, teens and young adults, it's good to apply to even younger kids -- after all they mature SO fast these days don't they?

As my life moves forward and I mature, I realize that I AM my grandmother -- my Memie.  Beulah Jane Weaver Harris Howard….what a spitfire.  She never had a gray hair on her head.  Well, it’s because she dyed it, but still…….  She used to say she was ¼ American Indian.  Maybe that’s why.  NAW, it was the dye!

Leading Worship - No Ropes Needed........

Leading worship is such an awesome honor.  What a tremendous privilege it is to be given the opportunity to lead people into God’s presence. However, with the opportunity comes a great responsibility.  One may have all the talent and skills in the world, but without character and right heart placement, things can and most likely will turn out a disaster. We are not called to minister to ourselves, but to others.  That means leading worship with songs that are not particularly our favorite or our "style".  Ouch!

Hello...Hello...God, Are You Listening!??

Do you ever wonder if God actually sees what’s going on in your life or hears you?  Don’t feel bad – you’re not alone.

I don’t know any Christian (or anyone for that matter) who hasn’t asked themselves, “God, are you listening?” at one time or another -- although some of us don’t like to admit it.  Everyone has problems.  There are so many things that can come along to try and steal our joy – IF WE LET IT.  Sometimes it seems like too much and we wonder if God is really there.  Well let me tell you that He IS there, and He is in control of everything, whether it seems that way in the natural or not.  Our responsibility is to continue to live our lives as Jesus did, love Him and each other, and look to Him first in everything.  “How do I do that?” you might ask.  “My health is bad, by job is worse and I’m broke all the time.”  I don’t know why things happen the way they do.  But there is ONE THING I am sure of:  I know that HE knows.

Standing In Your Impossible Dream

The Bible is full of what could be described as “impossible dreams.”  No matter how small or large, and no matter how far off or big your dreams may seem, God is powerful enough to bring them to pass.  Abraham dared to dream that God would give him a son at the age of 100, even though his wife was barren.  The people around him undoubtedly laughed when at God’s command he began to call himself the “Father of Many Nations.”  But he kept on believing and eventually he found himself standing in his dream.  The key is to take “faith steps” toward  our dreams, and ensure that they are for His glory.
